Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party company that operates that tool. This site does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls its handling of the query.
Emails and Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to review and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Ordinary web logs and measurement tools may collect limited technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device class and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- the date and time of a request.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the pages. A browser can block or remove them, although a search, preference, or other feature may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports normal operation and improvement of the site. Uses may include:
- keeping pages available and responsive;
- sending a search request to the selected partner;
- understanding which Le Sueur County release topics help visitors;
- detecting errors and repairing technical problems; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.
Privacy Beyond This Site
Links lead to Sheriff records, Minnesota DOC pages, courts, federal locators, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy terms govern its collection and use of information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across different sites to select ads. That tracking occurs through the provider's systems, not records hosted by this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may reach these parties when their role requires it:
- search partners that process a submitted query;
- analytics services that measure page use;
- advertising networks that deliver or measure ads; and
- law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Measures and Limits
We use customary administrative and technical practices intended to protect information. No website, connection, or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may contact us and request its deletion.
Your Information Choices
Depending on the law that applies, a visitor may ask us to:
- provide a copy of personal data we hold;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- erase eligible personal data; or
- stop certain forms of processing.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as services or practices change. A new version becomes available on this page with an updated effective date.
